USGBC Holds Ceremony for Stuyvesant Town / Peter Cooper Village in NYC

The largest multifamily rental complex in the U.S. was honored by the green building community earlier this month for achieving LEED® Platinum certification. The event featured speeches from New York City Council member, Keith Powers, Blackstone Group's Chief Sustainability Officer, Don Anderson, and USGBC's President and CEO, Mahesh Ramanujam. SWA also took the opportunity to meet with members of the USGBC, including Mr. Ramanujam, to discuss trends in the market and ideas for future LEED projects!

Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village are the first private developments in the U.S. to earn the LEED for Communities certification.
